Ciribaí Praia Hotel is in the beautiful and calm village of Paúba, belonging to the municipal district of São Sebastião.
São Sebastião is the oldest city of the north coast and it is privileged by being located between the Mountain of the Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, sheltering thirty six beaches on its 108 km of coast.

Before the Portuguese colonization, the area was occupied by Indian tupinambás in the north and tupiniquins in the south, being the mountain of Boiçucanga the natural frontier of the tribes land. Actually in the area village of Guarani Indians, who came from the south of the country in the XVIIth century.
And looking for the area roots, as well as to reflect its characteristics, arise the name Ciribaí, that in the Tupi language means calm place, with pleasure and good for rest.
The area is one of the most beautiful places of the world. Its typical landscape is composed by some of the prettiest Brazil's beaches, crossed by green mountains that contrast with the blue of the ocean.
More than 80% of the municipal's district area is composed by the Atlantic forest, protected by the State Park of Sea's Moutain. The park shelters beautiful waterfalls and rare types of birds, plants and flowers, you can watch in the trails by foot, by horse or by bicycle with the support of a guide by
the municipal clerkship. Those same trails were already had been used by the Indians before the arrival of the Portugueses and they were good for the colonizer in the exploration of a new world.
Along the whole area, it's possible to choose the most varied activities in the Atlantic forest as schooner trip to visit the islands and paradisiacal beaches, fishing, dive, surf, night party and adventure sports as tyrolese, cascading, rapel, boat, off road jeeps and mountain bike. To the lovers of the sailing, São Sebastião's Channel, with an extension of 12,3 marine miles, is considered one of the best lines of the world. Knowing the area is to live the best moments of pleasure and relax.
